Got some takeout tamales and oh my gosh they were so delicious.

    I had:
    - vegetable tamale
    - nopales tamale
    - pork tamale

The vegetable one had an assortment of tomato, peas, and legumes that were salty and nicely savory. The nopales (cactus) had a texture similar to bell peppers that are cooked. I loved it!

My new business is right around the corner, and I'm so blessed to be in community with this small family restaurant. Amidst ever encroaching gentrifiers and their strollers, a POC / Latinx business is invaluable.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by the already very satisfying taco trucks present in South Seattle but the food here just doesn't compare. The tamales were a tad on the dry side and unless drenched in sauce I wouldn't have finished it otherwise. The tacos are mediocre at best and lack flavor (which... is probably the most important part of any taco. And that's not up for debate). Meat could have also been more tender. I guess I'm just disappointed I'm paying more for subpar taco when I could easily get better ones my usual taco spots, for a cheaper price. This one is a hard pass for me.
